LEFT REVERSE

Stop about 2 car lengths past the road you are turning into. secure the car. using reverse gear get ready check all around and looking over left shoulder reverse back in a straight line until you are at the turning point (back of car on 1st dotted white line or the kerb of the road you are turning into comes into the bottom corner of the back windscreen), check your 6pt observations and slowly steer around the corner keeping close to the kerb not forgetting to check there are no road users about (if there are stop, signal to the left until it is safe to carry on) when you see the kerb straighten looking out back window and drive about 2 car lengths. stop and secure the car.

PARALLEL PARKING
You will be required to stop alongside a vehicle that is parked at the kerb. You then need to reverse back until your car is half way past the car you are reversing around. check it is safe and full lock to left and reverse until you lose the kerb out of the back window. check the back of your car is butting up to the kerb, about 45 degrees and then when it is safe a full lock to the right. when your car is nearly parallel to the kerb straighten 1 1/2 turns) by looking out the back window and lining up the kerb with the centre of the back windscreen. You must complete this manouvre within two car lengths.

BAY PARKING

Look at the layout of the car park. Stop about a car width away from the white line.
Use your mirrors (6pt check), check your position and keep your speed down so the steering has the maximum effect and gives you time to make corrections. When the line is about half way across the passenger door stop look all around then slowly move with a full lock to the left, when the car is nearly parallel to the white lines either side of the bay (checking door mirrors) look out the back window and straighten car (1 1/2 turns to the right), drive backwards until you are squarely in the bay (front white lines should be near the top of your door mirrors)

EMERGENCY STOP
You may get an emergency stop on you test.
The examiner will ask you to pull over on the right. Secure the car.
He will then ask you to move away (checking your blindspots and signalling if necessary).
He will then put his hand up and say 'STOP', there is no need to check your mirrors, you need to stop safely and as quickly as possible. When stationary secure the car.
